Beat Devil Music's new double EP, "CHOCOLATE SHOTGUN SESSIONS" was released April 9, 2021. Drums were tracked at BALANCE STUDIO in Mandeville, LA by engineer DAVID TROIA  (Down, Otep, Ugly Kid Joe) and recorded by Derek S. Abrams  (Gingerjake and Future Leaders of the World band mate, and former MINISTRY drummer).  The double EP is a collaborative rock genre "mixtape" featuring guest vocalists on each track.  

 

The single, "COLD WORLD" featuring Tucson, AZ MC duo, People From The Sun, and New Orleans' DJ, Killahouse was released on June 19th, 2020 on bandcamp. All proceeds went to the NAACP Legal Defense Fund. In 2016, Ian Severson / Beat Devil Music single, LOVE NEVER COMES EASY, was licensed by Discovery Channel's Deadliest Catch (click here for iTunes link).

Ian has recorded and co-written with Cameron Webb (Social Distortion, Deftones, Motorhead, Tenacious D, Pennywise),

Ted Bruner (Katy Perry), Duane Baron (Ozzy, Motley Crue),

Tim Pagnotta (Sugarcult), Phil Taylor (Future Leaders of the

World), John Lecompt (Evanescence) and Todd Fitzgerald

(Johnny Lang) and toured nationally sharing

stages with Alice In Chains, Anthrax, Chevelle,

Papa Roach, P.O.D., Soil, Hoobastank, Sevendust,

Saliva, Otep, Nonpoint,  American Head Charge, 

Sum 41, Kittie, Flaw, Taproot, & New Medicine. 

 

In 2006 Ian also acted as band leader for

Jordis Unga, after her success on the TV

show ROCK STAR INXS.

From 2002 to 2015, Ian was the studio/live/touring guitarist for the rock/metal acts: American post-grunge band Future Leaders of the World (FLOTW - 2008-2015); Nola based trap-metal band Suns of Naki (2011-2012); and Minneapolis based Gingerjake (2002-2009).

In 2014, Ian procured a record deal for FLOTW's sophmore album REVEAL which was released worldwide on MARCH 10, 2015 on PAVEMENT ENTERTAINMENT / RED and in Japan March 3rd, 2015 via Grindhouse / Tower Records Japan.  Production credits for FLOTW’s REVEAL 

include Sterling Winfield (Hellyeah, Pantera), Toby Wright (Alice in Chains, Metallica), John LeCompt (Evanescence) and Jon King (Throwing Gravity/Warner Bros). “REVEAL” is the follow up to Billboard chart topping “LVLIV” (Sony/Epic), produced by Garth Richardson, which featured the Billboard hit single "Let Me Out."
